This great city gives me the luxury to interview different people from different nationalities considering that Dubai is a true cosmopolitan city and probably unique in the Middle East. Eleven interviews with seven different nationalities and people from different fields of life. They all gave their prompt reactions about WoW bands. In some of the videos that you will see below, my reactions were very obvious due to the insights in terms of selection of the WoW brands and the various functional or rational benefits mentioned by those guys.



My objective behind the interviews is to get the spontaneous reactions and without probing for specific reasons behind the selection of WoW bands or certain set of attributes that made those brands rated WoW for the respective interviewees. Enjoy the videos ……













A brand must be legendary to be WoW for a researcher ...

Vika’s WoW brand is BMW because it is unique, he likes the communication, platform and product. For him it generates and evokes excitement. Emotionally it is the right product but functionally and for his life stage it is not the right product. He recommends it to others and potentially it is in his consideration set.

Why Audi is a WoW brand for Sid?

Sudath’s WoW’s brand is Audi because it is stylish and something he can relate to. He likes the way the car is built, drive and gismo.

WoW brands stand up to the expectations ...

Shafeek’s WoW brand is Nike since it stands up to his expectations with respect to what he does in terms of sports and what he requires as casual wear. He is very happy with the brand and very loyal especially when other brands didn’t meet his expectations after trying them.

A WoW brand with lots of heritage, yet modern

For Tolga, Converse is his WoW brand since it is unique as it is the only brand that anyone can wear and at any time. It is been around for long time and still how they made them 80 years ago which makes it very versatile.

What is Stephanie's WoW Brand?

Stephanie’s WoW brand is Vodafone and for her it is a real brand and has strong messaging. The brand knows what to say exactly to get her to buy into it.

Rima’s WoW brand is Blackberry because she is connected to everybody all day long and getting all the news of friends.

National pride makes it a WoW brand

Khaled’s WoW brand is Fly Emirates because of the offering and different services they offer. Top of his mind was the shuttle service for business class travellers and the loyalty program Skywards. He likes it because it went from a local brand to become international. He is also proud of Fly Emirates not because he is Emirati but due to the wide range of services and flights.

Not very popular, but still a WoW brand for Kieran

Kieran’s WoW brand is Yorkie chocolate bars because it is positioned for boys unlike other chocolate bars where they position it as if it is only for girls. He liked their ads that say it is only for boys ...

A WoW descriptor for a WoW brand ...

Facebook is the WoW brand for Joe because it moved from a brand to something you can’t live without also used by almost everybody. Joe commented that it is the most growing country in the world.
